Evaluation of Biologically Active Components in Cranberries, Leslie Plhak and Kirk Parkin, University of Wisconsin. Continued efforts on additional fractionation of biologically active extracts showing benefit in antioxidation, removal of carcinogens, immune cell function, anti-inflammatory via liver cell function.

Antioxidant and Anticancer Activities of Cranberries and Cranberry Products, Rui Hai Liu, Cornell University. Continued study of antioxidant potential in various cranberry products measured by TOSC assay, inhibition of cell growth in colon cell culture, and determine synergistic interactions of both factors.

Salicylates in cranberries: A natural form of aspirin?, Garry Duthie, Rowett Institute. Assess whether daily consumption of cranberry juice has similar effects as aspirin in decreasing inflammatory markers associated with heart disease and cancer.

Efficacy of Cranberry Juice in a Sample of Cognitively Intact Older Adults: Neuropsychological Findings, David Crew, David Harrison and Joseph Mix, Liberty University and VPI. Evaluate the ability to improve and enhance cognitive and memory skills in older healthy adults based on antioxidant and phytochemical content of cranberries.
